How to effectively use ICE feedback

When our customers take a brief moment to provide us with positive feedback they may show thanks or appreciation and that feeling alone can make most of us feel warm and happy inside. Naturally though, you are going to check your e-mail, social media or ICE feedback one day and you will experience the shock of negative feedback.

Instructors from the 66th Training Squadron’s Survival, Evasion, Resistance and Escape cadre at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland showcase their knowledge to recruiters from the 330th Recruiting Squadron during an immersion tour March 28. The recruiters travelled from locations across the United States to get a better understanding of the career field and experience the training a candidate must complete to become a SERE specialist.

AFIMSC partners with industry for future success

Two members of the Air Force Services Activity demonstrate one of nine stations on an Alpha Warrior Battle Rig during Industry Day April 9 at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland. For many visiting senior Air Force leaders, this was the first time they’d had the opportunity to see up-close the various ways the equipment helps to build ready and resilient Airmen. In addition to the adult rig, a new youth rig that will be rolled out to 10 installations later this year was also on display and demonstrated by JBSA-Lackland youth.

Joint Base San Antonio greets schoolchildren for ‘Purple Up! For Military Kids’ day

Joint Base San Antonio leaders, service members, teachers and school administrators greeted Fort Sam Houston Elementary School students before classes for “Purple Up! For Military Kids” day April 12. JBSA and San Antonio community members were encouraged to wear purple to recognize military children for their personal sacrifice and courage in supporting their military parents. The children were given purple beads by service members as they made their way to school. “Purple Up! For Military Kids” day commemorated the Month of the Military Child in April, which acknowledges the important role of military children and families worldwide in the armed forces, acknowledging the sacrifices they make and the challenges they overcome on a daily basis.

Feedback Fridays

Military academies unite with universities in ongoing sexual harassment prevention

Air Force Reserve's top 10 things to know about Active Guard Reserve assignments

Recently, the chief of Air Force Reserve approved changes to the Active Guard Reserve program which are expected to be implemented later this year in September. The implementation of the new policy is expected to take place with the publishing of a new Air Force Instruction.

433rd Airlift Wing trains on mobile device travel voucher process

Staff Sgt. Luz Trice, 433rd Mission Support Group command support staff, guides Staff Sgt. Daryn Kline, 433rd Aircraft Maintenance Squadron avionics specialist, through the process of submitting a travel voucher by using the new mobile common access card enabled Air Force Connect app at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland April 7. The 433rd Airlift Wing is one of two beta testing locations for this new capability.

433rd Airlift Wing inducts 2019 honorary commanders
