Command post, NCOIC receive AETC’s top honors

Air Education and Training Command has recognized the “eyes and ears” of the 502nd Air Base Wing with two honors. The 502nd ABW and Joint Base San Antonio Command Post at JBSA-Fort Sam Houston, the organization tasked with the responsibility of keeping the base community up-to-date on emergency situations, is AETC’s 2016 Medium Unit Command Post of the Year.

President Donald J. Trump signed the Veterans Choice Program Extension and Improvement Act April 18, so military veterans can continue receiving health care in the civilian sector when care is not easily accessible from a Veterans Affairs Department provider.

412th Contracting Support Brigade cases its colors for inactivation

The inactivation of the brigade is a result of force structure changes directed by the secretary of the Army to adapt the service's force generation process to the needs of a contingency force. McGowan served as commander of the 412th CSB since September 2015 and Charles has served the brigade command sergeant major.

The charitable affiliate organizations provide support in an emergency, with educational needs, or a secure retirement home for widows or widowers of Air Force members in need of financial assistance. Scientists converge on San Antonio for week of collaboration

The Air Force Scientific Advisory Board found their ‘Air Force blue’ while meeting April 10-13 at 25th Air Force Headquarters. The group of 50 board members, and about 50 associated personnel, held mostly classified discussions on the wide variety of impacts science can have on global Air Force and Department of Defense missions.
