Project ECHO: Using telehealth to maintain a ready medical force

A diabetes specialist with the Diabetes Center of Excellence at Wilford Hall Ambulatory Surgical Center, Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, conducts a diabetes and prevention ECHO session, using telehealth to provide virtual consultation and mentorship for Air Force primary care providers at different military treatment facilities, Nov. 19, 2018. Project ECHO (short for Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes) was originally developed by the University of New Mexico. The AFMS began using a modified version of Project ECHO in 2012 to improve the ability to connect medical Airmen with specialty providers at other military treatment facilities using telehealth capabilities.

Captain Marvel Exhibit aims to inspire Mach-21 Airmen

This year's topics include Command and Control of the Installation as a Weapons System; Leveraging Technology and Innovation for the Installation We Need; Integration of Training & Technology Across Multi-Domain Operations; and Logistics Under Attack. I-WEPTAC focuses on agile combat support core functions and addresses current and future challenges in the I&MS mission sets. The outputs will be actionable recommendations that ensure we continue to deliver agile I&MS capabilities in support of national defense and major command operational plans.
