Official portraits are for JBSA members only and by appointment only.

If you are an O6 and above, or an E9 and above or equivalent, please email 502abw.pa.official@us.af.mil with your base of preference for a studio photo. The base will contact you and work with your schedule.

Note: Appointments are only being accepted at JBSA-Fort Sam Houston and JBSA-Lackland. 

Members Authorized for Official Photography: Currently, we only schedule appointments for OSI & CID agents, JAG, Chaplains, Technical School Instructors, MTLs, MTIs, Drill Sergeants, and award winners (not nominees) at the Air Force Wing, Navy Command/Units, Marine Regiment/MAG/MEU, or Army Brigade level and above or certain special duty packages that have published regulation documentation/requirements.

Additionally, we schedule for commanders with UCMJ authority who are on G-series orders, O-5 or GS-12 and above that are in supervisory positions, superintendents, first sergeants, Navy CO and XO and portraits prior to a service members retirement.

All other requests must send an email to their assigned base PA office with justification for approval.

You must use your government email to schedule studio appointments. When entering the site, be sure to select the correct location and servicing team.

**Walk-ins are permitted for Government Passport photos only. All other photo types must make an appointment** 

To get a passport photo, you must first get a signed documentation from the passport office, verifying the photo is for an official government passport. Members are not permitted to use government resources for personal passports. Passport photos are taken ONLY between 7:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. weekdays.

The photo lab provides a wide range of photographic services, studio, on-location and documentation and digital imaging. 
Turnaround times vary with production requirements, but most products are produced normally within three to five working days.

If a photographer is unavailable for your event a small digital auto-focus self-help camera is available for official use, on a first-come first -served basis. The photo lab can process your events official photos. 

The 502^d Air Base Wing Public Affairs Office manages the electronic marquees located at JBSA-Lackland and JBSA-Randolph to announce time-sensitive and recurring information to base members.

Please note the electronic marquees at JBSA-Fort Sam Houston are no longer functional. There are no plans to repair or replace them.

Members must submit a marquee request form at least one week before the post date, but no more than four weeks before. To submit a marquee request, please visit https://safpa.appianportalsgov.com/request/page/request. 

Messages are limited to welcome messages for distinguished visitors, announcing base-wide events, and retirement messages for general officers and above, force protection condition and weather alerts.

The marquee will not be used to promote fundraising or to display items or services for sale.

The marquee will not display commercial advertisements, political messages or any non-mission essential messages.

Marquee messages that take up more than one frame will not be authorized. QR codes, phone numbers, and website addresses cannot be posted for safety concerns.

The Graphics staff provides expertise in original conceptions for all your graphics needs, and can also enhance customers' artwork.

Examples of desktop publishing services include:

• Create visual concepts to communicate information. Layout design for posters, logos and informational materials.
• Convert digital images to various file formats (jpeg, png, tif, psd, ai, eps, svg and gif)
• Photo CD imaging--scan/write images, text, graphics to compact disc
