AFPC hosts Premier College Interns immersion into Air Force mission

Premier College Interns participate in an exercise during a three-day PCIP symposium in San Antonio May 29-31. Interns were given a scenario and asked to provide a course of action to the group. The PCIP is a 12-week paid intern program is designed to attract full time college students who are seeking a career in Air Force Civilian Service.

SERE specialists showcase training for recruiters

An Air Force recruiter with the 330th Recruiting Squadron practices climbing a wall following instruction from survival, evasion, resistance and escape cadre members from 66th Training Squadron, Det. 3, at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland June 3. Survival, Evasion, Resistance and Escape cadre are responsible for both the four-day Evasion and Conduct After Capture Course and the 15-day SERE Specialist Training Orientation Course at JBSA-Lackland. ECAC was the first stop for recruiters from the 330th RCS who travelled from across the United States to attend this biannual squadron training intended to immerse recruiters into SERE training in order for them to be better able to recruit Air Force SERE candidates.

Technology, AFWERX, helping SF Academy graduates become more lethal, ready

JBSA-Lackland SERE cadre opens doors to recruiters

Instructors from the 66th Training Squadron’s Survival, Evasion, Resistance and Escape cadre at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland showcase their knowledge to recruiters from the 330th Recruiting Squadron during an immersion tour March 28. The recruiters travelled from locations across the United States to get a better understanding of the career field and experience the training a candidate must complete to become a SERE specialist.

AFIMSC partners with industry for future success

Two members of the Air Force Services Activity demonstrate one of nine stations on an Alpha Warrior Battle Rig during Industry Day April 9 at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland. For many visiting senior Air Force leaders, this was the first time they’d had the opportunity to see up-close the various ways the equipment helps to build ready and resilient Airmen. In addition to the adult rig, a new youth rig that will be rolled out to 10 installations later this year was also on display and demonstrated by JBSA-Lackland youth.
