Randolph AFB, TX, 4/4/2011: Dr. Todd Fore and Chief Master Sgt. Arleen Heath get front seats on the inaugural run of the new Headquarters Air Force Personnel Center shuttle bus early April 4, 2011 on Randolph Air Force Base, Texas. During renovation of HQ AFPC the bus service will shuttle personnel from the parking lot between the Kendrick Enlisted Club and the P-Xtra to their temporary offices in building 977 daily from 6-8 a.m., 11-1 p.m. and 3-5 p.m. The bus will also pick up passengers at HQ AFPC and the parking lot south of hangar 16. The tradition of honoring repatriated Vietnam War POW pilots continued at Randolph Air Force Base, Texas, March 25 during the annual Freedom Flyer Reunion Symposium and wreath laying ceremony. Airman First Class Laura Hall from Lackland Air Force Base’s Band of the West, played “Taps” during the wreath laying ceremony. For the 13th straight year, the symposium featured Freedom Flyers and the grim, but inspiring stories of their experiences in the POW camps in North Vietnam.
