Randolph AFB, TX, 03/21/2011: Colonel Scott Peel, commander 902nd  Mission Support Group, signs a Proclamation declaring  April as "Sexual Assault Awareness, Child Abuse Prevention, Month of the Military Child,  and Alcohol Awareness Month"  at Randolph Air Force Base. 560th Flying Training Squadron reunites Freedom Flyers

The tradition of honoring repatriated Vietnam War POW pilots continued at Randolph Air Force Base, Texas, March 25 during the annual Freedom Flyer Reunion Symposium and wreath laying ceremony.  Airman First Class Laura Hall from Lackland Air Force Base’s Band of the West,  played “Taps” during the wreath laying ceremony.  For the 13th straight year, the symposium featured Freedom Flyers and the grim, but inspiring stories of their experiences in the POW camps in North Vietnam. The wreath-laying ceremony is held each year at the base’s Missing Man Monument, in honor of America’s military heroes who never made it home from war. (U.S. Air Force photo/Rich McFadden)
