JBSA is taking part in National Police Week, which was established by a joint resolution of Congress in October 1962. It occurs annually during the week in which May 15 falls. National Police Week recognizes the service and sacrifice of U.S. law enforcement members and pays special recognition to law enforcement officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty for the safety and protection of others.
