Biomedical Science Corps celebrates 54th anniversary

The Air Force and Joint Base San Antonio celebrate the 54th Anniversary of the Biomedical Science Corps by designating the week of Jan. 28 through Feb. 1 as BSC Appreciation Week.

Future yeoman sailor follows brothers into Navy

Aguilar is a division leading petty officer assigned to Navy Recruiting Station McAllen, Navy Recruiting District San Antonio and helped enlist his sister into the Navy. Torres, a 2018 graduate of Edinburg North High School, is the third of three siblings and the first female in her family to serve in the military.

BAMC hosts Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. observance

USAISR hosts interagency meeting on delivery of blood products

The U.S. Army Institute of Surgical Research at Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston hosted a biannual meeting of the Federal Inter-Agency Task Force for Trauma and Emergency Preparedness Nov. 8-9, 2018, which focused specifically on delivery of blood products at the point of injury, where their use is most life-saving.

Inbound lanes for the Valley-Hi (Airmen’s Gate) will be completely closed beginning Jan. 21 while normal outbound lanes will be transitioned to accommodate two-way traffic.

The Army Support Activity Office of the Staff Judge Advocate completed eight Army courts-martial during the months of November 2018 through January 2019. During the months of November 2018 through January 2019, Army commanders administered a variety of non-judicial punishment actions under Article 15 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice.
