Inaugural Air Force Vice Chief’s Challenge seeks game-changing innovations

The Air Force is continuing to look to its Airmen to create innovative solutions to the service’s trickiest challenges, this time specifically seeking their help to improve multi-domain operations. At the Air Force Association convention late last year, Air Force senior leaders announced the creation of the Vice Chief’s Challenge, a Total Force-wide competition created to solicit innovative ideas to solve Air Force-level problems.

AETC Talks is a program that intends to have the most successful people in their respective fields engage, inspire and motivate Airmen.

Army South, Combined Arms Support Command discuss logistics modernization with Peruvian Army

Operation Chavin de Huantar was a Peruvian military operation ended the 1997 Japanese embassy hostage crisis by raiding the Japanese ambassador's residence and freeing the hostages held there by the terrorist organization Tupac Amaru Revolutionary Movement and is considered one of the most successful hostage rescues in the world. Six CASCOM and ARSOUTH members visited the Peruvian Army to assist in modernizing their logistics doctrine and programs to better support future operational requirements.

The 502d Communications Squadron handles approximately 42,000 tickets a year ranging from network concerns, phone problems and communications systems challenges.
