A Royal Canadian Air Force CC-130J Hercules arlift arrives at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland Kelly Fied, Texas carrying humanitarian supplies from the government of Canada to aid in Hurricane Harvey relief efforts Sept. 3, 2017. The supplies included pediatric necessities like baby formula, blankets, cribs and other similar items. The RCAF airlift flew in from 8 Wing Trenton, Ontario, Canada.

59th Medical Wing members start boarding a Lockheed C-5 Galaxy as the disaster relief team flying into Houston, Texas, August 30. More than 70-members of the Air Force’s flagship medical wing were mobilized to provide medical attention to the 6 million residents of the greater Houston area, after the city suffered catastrophic flooding due to Hurricane Harvey.

Senior Airman Nicole Moore, 59th Medical Wing medical technician, was recognized as one of the Air Force 12 Outstanding Airmen of the Year for 2017, July 7th, 2017.  An Air Force selection board at the Air Force Personnel Center considered 36 nominees who represented major commands, direct reporting units, field operating agencies and Headquarters Air Force.
