479th FTG evacuates aircraft to JBSA-Randolph

T-1 Jayhawks from the 479th Flying Training Group line the south ramp at Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph, Texas, Aug. 27.  Thirty-four aircraft and 60 accompanying aircrew members were evacuated from their home station, Naval Air Station Pensacola, Fla., in anticipation of Hurricane Isaac. CHLORINE SPILL AT JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-RANDOLPH

Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph Fire Department personnel immediately responded to a 40-pound chlorine spill that occurred at the water plant near the JBSA-Randolph west gate Tuesday.  First Responders initiated a 300-foot cordon that extended across FM 78, closing it temporarily.
