Navy Wounded, Ill and Injured Annex opens at Joint Base San Antonio

Rear Adm. William Roberts, commandant, Medical, Education and Training Campus, spoke from his heart during his keynote presentation at the June 25 ribbon-cutting ceremony officially opening the Wounded, Ill & Injured Annex at the Navy Operational Support Center, Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston. The Annex will serve as an administrative liaison for Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard members receiving treatment through the San Antonio Military Medical Center at JBSH-FSH. Annex staff will also provide support to service members' families and a better means of communication, patient advocacy and navigation through complex medical issues while service members receive treatment. The Annex is a detachment of the Naval Health Clinic Corpus Christi.
