Unique rehab center at JBSA-Fort Sam Houston gets injured military back on duty

Wayne Strube (left), a former Air Force security forces patrolman, coaches Army Staff Sgt. Lennis Lebarge as he rehabs his right knee with the Delfi machines BFR tourniquet at the Center for the Intrepid, or CFI, at Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston Sept. 13. The BFR tourniquet reduces blood flowing from the specific body part and expedites the healing process. Strube currently serves military service members as the CFI physical therapist in charge of the Return to Run program.

Army ROTC cadets participate in 5th Brigade ROTC Ranger Challenge Competition at JBSA-Camp Bullis

The seven-person team of Army ROTC cadets from University of Texas at Austin were the winners of the fifth annual 5th Brigade ROTC Ranger Challenge Competition Nov. 5-6 at Joint Base San Antonio-Camp Bullis. They will advance to compete in the 2017 Sandhurst Competition, an international competition held at the United States Military Academy at West Point, N.Y., against eight other ROTC programs, 16 international teams and multiple teams from the various military academies.

JBSA M&FRCs offer support groups for single parents

However, Joint Base San Antonio Military & Family Readiness Centers are addressing the concerns of single parents and offering them a support network to help them better cope with the challenges they face.
