New Parent Support Program helps answer questions

Preparing for a newborn child can be exhausting; new parents often spend a significant amount of time and energy reading books, seeking council or simply worrying about the well-being and safety of their unborn child. The New Parent Support Program is geared towards helping first-time parents, as well as parents with new additions to their family, feel confident in their ability to raise their children.

Last year, Fort Sam Houston paid special recognition to World War II veterans who fought in France. This year’s ceremony, scheduled for 11 a.m. Nov. 13 at MacArthur Parade Field, will highlight Vietnam veterans. The ceremony recognizes all veterans of all services, however, and is open to the public.

The pilot for her flight was Thunderbird 8 Maj. Scott Petz.  The Thunderbirds will be performing at the JBSA Air Show and Open House to be held Oct. 31 and Nov. 1 at 3 p.m. Opening ceremonies are at 11 a.m. both days. Construction projects abound on Brooke Army Medical Center campus

Under construction just outside SAMMC’s main entrance is a hyperbaric facility addition, which is also about 13,000 square feet. Construction is expected to be completed next July.
