The lifeguards were recognized for their actions taken in putting out a fire in JBSA-Randolph base housing. The individuals, who were cleaning the pool for the end of season, saw the smoke from housing, called 911, rushed over to warn the family and put out the fire prior to the fire department arriving on scene.
