Invincible Spirit Festival honors staff, patients, families at Brooke Army Medical Center

Sinise and celebrity chef Robert Irvine returned to Brooke Army Medical Center for the fifth time to host the Invincible Spirit Festival. BAMC staff, patients and family members enjoyed food, music and activities throughout the afternoon.

The Intensive Outpatient Behavioral Health Program provides services and coping strategies to active duty members who have mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, or PTSD, and who have thoughts of committing suicide.

A team of U.S. Army medical personnel from Brooke Army Medical Center at Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston participated in a training exercise in Hospital Escuela and Hospital Maria in Tegucigalpa, Honduras from July 19-27, performing complex trauma surgical procedures in a resource limited environment with logistical support from Joint Task Force-Bravo.

Undersea Hyperbaric Medicine Clinic opens at Brooke Army Medical Center

Army Capt. Kyle Salik is the first patient to receive oxygen therapy at the new Undersea & Hyperbaric Medicine Clinic at Brooke Army Medical Center at Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston June 20. Hyperbaric oxygen can be used to treat 14 different indicators including wound healing.
