DOD educates military service members, civilian employees on Social Security Payroll Tax Deferral
September 11, 2020
In order to provide relief during the COVID-19 pandemic, a Presidential Memorandum was issued Aug. 8, 2020, followed by Internal Revenue Service guidance issued Aug. 28, 2020, to temporarily defer the withholding of Social Security taxes for certain individuals beginning Sept. 1 through Dec. 31, 2020.

Community College of the Air Force reveals plans for new degree program

The Community College of the Air Force announced plans for a new degree program slated for launch in 2021. The new Associate of Applied Science in Military Technology and Applied Sciences Management  degree is a flexible alternative for enlisted personnel serving in Air Force specialties lacking enough formal skills training to meet current degree program requirements, said Dr. Hank Dasinger, the dean of CCAF.
