Occupational analyst treated to celebration befitting 50-year career

JBSA honors the beginning of military aviation

Lt. Gen. Perry Wiggins, commanding general, U.S. Army North (Fifth Army) and senior commander for Fort Sam Houston and Camp Bullis, and United States Air Force retired Col. Stump Sowada (right), Order of Daedalians, Stinsons Flight captain, place the wreath during an annual ceremony held at Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston parade grounds March 2. The event was held in recognition of the 105th anniversary of Maj. Gen. Benjamin D. Foulois’ first flight which took place at then Fort Sam Houston. The celebration honored signal corps pilot, Foulois, who made his first take-off, solo flight, landing and first crash after four flights with the “Wright ‘B’ Flyer” aircraft over the Fort Sam Houston parade ground which has since been named the MacArthur Parade Field. Physical therapy offers new walk-in program for active-duty members

Maj. Becky Azama, 359th Medical Operations Squadron physical therapist, applies electrical stimulation to a patient Feb. 2, 2015, at the medical clinic on Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph, Texas. Electrical stimulation can be used as an alternative to medication for treating back pain. Walk-in appointments are now available from 7:15 to 8:45 a.m. on Mondays for active duty personnel at the JBSA-Randolph for musculoskeletal injuries occurring within seven days of their visit.
