Capstone Week: Supplementary training added to BMT

Basic military trainees cross monkey bars over a pool of water as part of the basic military training obstacle course at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Sept. 24, 2014. The obstacle course was about a mile to a mile and a half long depending on what 14 obstacles were open; the two water obstacles would close seasonally. The course, which closed Sept. 24, was replaced by new one, called the Leadership Reaction Course, which was added to basic expeditionary Airmen’s training, also known as BEAST week, at JBSA-Lackland Medina Annex and became fully operational Sept. 29. Monthly observance at JBSA locations addresses teen dating violence

February is Teen Dating Violence Awareness month on Minot Air Force Base, N.D. and the staff of the 5th Medical Group Family Advocacy Program have come together to create new educational events to promote awareness.The FAP is set to host a series of get-togethers focusing on dating violence issues that affect teens and their parents. The events will be at the base’s Youth Center every Friday during the month of February at 6:30 p.m.

Airfield reopens, provides more pilot training

19th AF Airman leads effort for local library relocation

Tech. Sgt. Michelle Murphy, 19th Air Force non-commissioned officer in charge, moves books during the relocation of the Universal City Public Library outside of Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph. With the help of volunteers from the JBSA-Randolph Rising 5/6 organization, Murphy spearheaded the relocation of roughly 27,000 items, to include books, movies, audiobooks, supplies and furniture. Going green: 12th FTW/MX sets afterburners on aircraft repair

Ceremony formalizes T-38 maintenance team's squadron status

The 575th AMXS is a geographically separate unit assigned to the 309th Aircraft Maintenance Group, Ogden Air Logistics Complex Hill Air Force Base, Utah.
