Creating a Legacy
October 8, 2007
Local Boy Scout Troop 475 gathered at the Randolph Recreation Park at Canyon Lake Sept. 29 to support the Environmental Flight’s Wildflower Seeding Legacy Project, funded by the National Public Lands Day organization, which grants funding to support environmental initiatives. This is the third year the flight has been awarded funding to plant native wildflower seeds with the intent of the flowers reseeding and repopulating naturally in the future. The boy scout troop earned service hours while learning the importance of native wildflowers to the ecosystem. (U.S. Air Force photo by Matt Kramm)
