Airmen's Heritage Park grand opening scheduled for March 6

The Airmen's Heritage Park grand opening ceremony is scheduled for March 6 at 10 a.m. The nine-acre park, which is located in Randolph's old Wherry housing area, is dedicated to the Airmen who have served and will continue to serve in the Air Force. It contains a pavilion, public restrooms, a half-mile walking path and a Medal of Honor memorial which displays Army Air Corps and Air Force Medal of Honor recipients who served in World War I, World War II, Korean War and Vietnam War eras.
