Former Vietnam POW addresses 433rd Airlift Wing deployers

Retired Air Force Col. Lee Ellis speaks at an Air Force Reserve Yellow Reintegration Program training event in San Antonio Aug. 17. The former Vietnam War prisoner told deployers and their loved ones what he learned during captivity that they can apply when dealing with struggles in their own lives. His F-4C Phantom was shot down over North Vietnam in November 1967 and he was held until March 1973.

Air Force Reserve medical technicians and a Navy Reserve corpsman care for a simulated wounded patient during Operation Joint Medic May 5 at Joint Base San Antonio-Camp Bullis. The medics carried the patient by stretcher from a simulated firefight to a safer area to administer care until the patient could be evacuated by a Humvee and then onto a UH-60 Blackhawk from the Texas Army National Guard.

The 433rd Airlift Wing's Honor Guard leads the 433rd Airlift Wing and 960th Cyberspace Wing walkers and float on Broadway Street in downtown San Antonio during the 71st annual Fiesta Flambeau Parade April 27. More than 750,000 spectators lined the 2.6-mile-long route see more than 200 floats and marching bands perform in the grand finale of Fiesta Week.

433rd Airlift Wing trains on mobile device travel voucher process

Staff Sgt. Luz Trice, 433rd Mission Support Group command support staff, guides Staff Sgt. Daryn Kline, 433rd Aircraft Maintenance Squadron avionics specialist, through the process of submitting a travel voucher by using the new mobile common access card enabled Air Force Connect app at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland April 7. The 433rd Airlift Wing is one of two beta testing locations for this new capability.
