Commentary: I did it. On purpose

An accident is defined as “any event that happens unexpectedly, without a deliberate plan or cause.” The way it is commonly used today generally implies something “wasn’t my fault.” We use it as an excuse – a way to avoid taking responsibility or avoid being blamed – when the results of our actions don’t match up with our intentions.

Joint Base San Antonio honors the 'Greatest Generation'

BAMC oxygen therapy helps patient heal after multiple surgeries

A staff member places a patient into the single hyperbaric oxygen chamber at the Undersea & Hyperbaric Medicine Clinic at Brooke Army Medical Center. Hyperbaric oxygen is an intervention in which an individual breathes nearly 100 percent oxygen while inside a hyperbaric chamber that is pressurized to greater than sea level pressure.

The project was part of the Navy Sailor 360, a command-level program for junior enlisted, senior enlisted and junior officers, designed to strengthen and develop leadership through community outreach events, classroom discussions and physical training. Lenard and Lopez are assigned to the Navy Medicine Education, Training and Logistics Command at Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston.

DOD agency keeps file swaps safe

The Defense Information Systems Agency has taken over an online resource that allows Defense Department personnel to swap files too large to be sent by email. Now in the wheelhouse of DISA, the file transfer capability has been rebranded DoD SAFE, or secure access file exchange. The DoD SAFE capability is part of DISA's Defense Collaboration Services suite of applications.
