The Air Force Aid Society will award more than $6 million in Gen. Henry Hap Arnold education grants and AFAS merit scholarships to the dependents of active duty and retired Airmen. A total of 2,556 college and university students will receive the education grants and merit-based scholarships, ranging from $500 to $5,000, during the 2018-2019 academic year.

Prevention at forefront of Army SHARP effort

The SHARP Program Office will release a prevention strategy document in the coming months. While bystander intervention is an important aspect of prevention, there are other actions and behaviors intended to stop incidents before they happen, such as fostering a healthy organizational climate and instilling a strong culture based upon the Army Ethic and Army Values.
