Six candidates selected to represent AETC in Defender Challenge

Early bird registration underway for Rambler 120 adventure race

Cyclists race from the starting line during the Joint Base San Antonio Rambler 120, a fitness challenge that tests individuals and teams with a 6-mile run, 22-mile bike race and 2-mile raft race, at scenic JBSA Recreation Park at Canyon Lake Oct. 14, 2017. Patience and defensive driving, key to utilizing Washington Circle

Base safety ans security officials want people to be aware of the procedures for driving in and out of Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph's Washington Circle. Officials want to ensure motorists know which lanes they should be in when entering and exiting the circle. The biggest safety issue occurs when vehicles try to directly exit the circle from the left lane instead of moving to the right lane in advance of their exit turn. Officials urge people to drive defensively and sue caution in and around Washington Circle.

Koukoua is one of approximately 50 U.S. Army Reserve and U.S. Army Soldiers who are working in partnership with the Texas A&M Colonias program to provide medical care to El Paso County's underserved colonias population.

Approximately 50 U.S. Army Reserve Soldiers assigned to the 7235th Medical Support Unit out of Orlando, Texas, worked in partnership with the Texas A&M Colonias program June 16-27 to provide medical care to Hidalgo County's underserved colonia population. Services provided by military personnel are done through the Department of Defense's Innovative Readiness Training, a civil-military program that builds mutually beneficial partnerships between U.S. communities and the DOD. The missions selected meet training & readiness requirements for Army Reserve service members while integrating them as a joint and whole-of-society team to serve our American citizens.

Air Force tests en route wound care device at 59th Medical Wing

The multi-channel wound vacuum system is tested on a simulated patient in a C-130 static aircraft display at the 59th Medical Wing, San Antonio, Texas, Dec. 1, 2016. The multi-channel wound vacuum system, which is used to promote wound healing on critical patients, is able to replace the capabilities of four single-channel systems. This smaller, more transportable device makes it easier for aeromedical evacuation crews to deliver en route wound care to patients with multiple wounds. The Air Force Medical Evaluation Support Activity (AFMESA) team was involved in the testing of the multi-channel wound vacuum system, ensuring the device could perform in the operational environment.
