Thomas C. Clark H.S. JROTC students visit JBSA-Lackland

By Staff Sgt. Adriana Barrientos 433 Airlift Wing Public Affairs

Thomas C. Clark High School Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps students visited the 433rd Airlift Wing at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland on Jan. 12.

The students, who for some was their first-ever visit on an active military base, visited the military working dog kennels, Base Exchange, Airman’s Heritage Museum, and toured the C-5M Super Galaxy aircraft.

Military working dogs undergo a rigorous training and certification process and not all dogs are selected for service.

The 29 students, accompanied by two JROTC instructors, had the opportunity to interact with service members and learn about Air Force culture and military careers.
