Training at M&FRCs prepares adults for mentorship opportunity

Medics treat a “wounded” mannequin as part of a combat simulation exercise during the Army Best Medic Competition Sept. 19 at Joint Base San Antonio-Camp Bullis. The competition pitted 27 teams of medics against each other from Army units across the world, who were tested on their readiness, medical and tactical competency skills and physical prowess in a continuous, realistic simulated combat operational environment.

Air Force awards next-generation fighter and bomber trainer

The Air Force awarded The Boeing Company a contract worth up to $9.2 billion for the Air Force's new training aircraft Sept. 27. The Air Force currently plans to purchase 351 T-X aircraft, 46 simulators, and associated ground equipment to replace the Air Education and Training Command's 57-year-old fleet of T-38C Talons.

Trusted Care everywhere is not going anywhere

On Oct. 1, 2018, four Air Force medical facilities will begin this transition. The process completes Oct. 1, 2021, when all 76 Air Force medical facilities will be under DHA control. Throughout this transition, medical Airmen will still implement the Trusted Care principles and deliver safe, patient-centered care to the warfighter and their families.
