Lt. Gen. Jeffrey S. Buchanan, U.S. Army North commanding general at Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston, spoke to high school musicians selected to play as part of the U.S. Army All-American Bowl Marching Band about leadership and selfless service during the band welcome dinner Jan. 2, which celebrated and recognized them for their dedication and leadership to their schools and communities. The musicians are spending the week rehearsing for the Jan. 7 game at the Alamodome in San Antonio, receiving instruction from college and high school band directors, as well as learning from Soldiers in the U.S. Army Field Band.
