The Joint Base San Antonio Military & Family Readiness Center Volunteer Program is seeking volunteers to participate in “Make A Difference Day,” a nationwide day of community service from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 27 at installations throughout JBSA. Make A Difference Day is one of the largest annual single days of voluntary service in the United States. Started in 1992, the day of voluntary service is held each year on the fourth Saturday in October.

The Joint Base San Antonio Military & Family Readiness Center Volunteer Program is organizing an effort to get units and volunteer organizations throughout JBSA to participate in a nationwide day of service Oct. 28. Units and volunteer organizations that want to host a community service project for Make A Difference Day, one of the largest annual single days of voluntary service nationwide, have until Oct. 6 to submit a form of their project to the JBSA Volunteer Program.
