JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO, Texas –
Five Joint Base San Antonio volunteer organizations and facilities, in cooperation with the JBSA Military & Family Readiness Center Volunteer Program, are hosting community service projects for the nationwide Make A Difference Day Oct. 28.

JBSA-Fort Sam Houston Military & Family Readiness Center, 210-221-0626; Building 2797, 3060 Stanley Road; 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.; clean and paint.

JBSA-Fort Sam Houston Warrior and Family Support Center, 210-916-9656; 3138 Rawley Chambers Road; 8 a.m. to noon; minor maintenance of structures, painting, landscaping and grounds beautification of the Warrior and Family Support Center gardens and Freedom Park.

JBSA-Fort Sam Houston Soldier for Life – Transition Assistance Program, 210-771-1493; Building 2263, 2263 Stanley Road, Room B 101; 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.; cleaning and painting of the main classroom.

Children’s Association for Maximum Potential at JBSA-Lackland, 210-671-5229; Building 3850, 2525 Ladd St.; 8 a.m. to noon; garden restoration and landscaping.
