IAAFA teams up for first ever joint training exercise

Students from the Inter-American Air Force Academy’s 837th Training Squadron and 343rd TRS attend a pre-mission briefing at Joint Base San Antonio-Camp Bullis as part of their final training exercise Nov. 8, 2017. The students practiced reconnaissance, ambush, searching, and patrolling tactics. This was the first time the 837th TRS and 343rd TRS partnered for joint training.

IAAFA’s first female flight instructor continues to make history

Maj. Maria Tejada-Quintana, a guest instructor at the Inter-American Air Forces Academy at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, is the only female flight guest instructor teaching international students from partner nations in the Western Hemisphere.

International Airman Leadership School set to launch

Master Sgt. Amy Ferraro-Rodriguez, 837th Training Squadron instructor, provides professional military education training to international and civil service students during an International Airman Leadership School course Oct. 13, 2017 at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland Inter-American Air Forces Academy. The IALS teaches the same course imparted to military personnel in the grade of senior airman and staff sergeant or E-5 equivalent in the United States Air Force Total Force. This course is the foundational step in the professional development as it prepares individuals to assume greater leadership and responsibilities.

New commandant seeks to make IAAFA known

Davidson says he will continue to strengthen international relationships through education and training. IAAFA is preparing to celebrate 75 years of existence in March 2018 with its western hemisphere partners.

Defense Language Institute instructors recognized for safety campaign

IAAFA counter-terrorism symposium delivers crucial lesson
