Air Force Aid Society assistance now available to Reservists in all statuses

Earlier this year, the Air Force Aid Society rolled out a new logo. This new logo represents an homage to a rich heritage strongly rooted in our connection to the U.S. Air Force, and a nod to our exciting future directions as the official charity serving and supporting a diverse, evolving Total Force. This is especially meaningful as we celebrate 75 years of Helping Airmen this year.  The design choices represented in our new AFAS logo were purposeful and carry much symbolism and meaning. Air Force transitions from CVR Teams to more secure systems

Graphic depicting Beginning June 15, Commercial Virtual Remote (CVR) Teams will no longer be an option within the Air Force, and all information stored in that system will go away. As the CVR environment goes away, the Air Force network version of Microsoft Teams – a separate application with slightly different capabilities – will be enhanced to be more like CVR.

AF Reserve major promotion, captain continuation boards postponed
January 14, 2021
The Calendar Year 2021 Air Force Reserve Major Line and Nonline Promotion Board has been rescheduled for March 29, pushing it back two months from its original date of January 29. This change is due to new Department of Defense and Department of the Air Force requirements, and the time need to implement them. 

As a result of the changes to major promotion boards, the captain continuation boards have also been postponed and will be held immediately following the major promotion boards.
