AFROTC POW/MIA run
April 9, 2009
Air Force ROTC cadets from Det. 842 at the University of Texas at San Antonio run passed Airman Heritage Park at Randolph Air Force Base, during the "Taj to Tower, POW-MIA Run" April 4. The 70-mile run, sponsored by the Arnold Air Society, is held each year with the prospects of creating unity among different squadrons of AFROTC cadets at local colleges, as well as raising awareness of the sacrifices of past servicemembers to those traveling down Interstate 35 during the day of the run. This year three schools participated in the run; Det. 842, Det. 840 from Texas State University, and Det. 825 from the University of Texas, Austin. (courtesy photo)
