Lackland Air Force Base, Texas –
The 37th Training Group remained undefeated at 3-0 after they beat the 59th Medical Operations Squadron during the third week of women's intramural volleyball competition.
The 37th TRG beat MedOps 2-1 (21-16, 16-21, 15-8) Tuesday at the Warhawk Fitness Center on Lackland AFB.
"TRG is doing well because we have come together as a team," said Francis Osorio, TRG coach and key hitter. "Every team member has contributed to each game. We have encouraged one another and performed beyond our expectations."
Also on Tuesday, good coordination between the front and back zones carried the 859th Diagnostics and Therapy Squadron (Lab) to a win over the 37th Mission Support Group earlier this week.
Lab defeated MSG 2-0 (21-17, 22-20) and raised their record to 2-1 at second place.
During the first game for Lab, both Kristi Hales and Holly Tyler scored an ace while on the serve. Also, Elizabeth Morales scored on a kill shot. For MSG, Desiree Gonzalez scored on a kill.
An ace by Hales followed by a spike by Myreen Bueno put Lab over the top during the second game. A dink by Bueno helped Lab draw even with MSG before they pulled ahead for the win.
For MSG during Game 2, Allendra Taylor scored on a block. Shanette Labonte scored an ace while serving.
