JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-CAMP BULLIS, Texas –
The annual Medical Center of Excellence Drill Sergeant of the Year competition took place at Joint base San Antonio-Camp Bullis, Texas, on May 26, 2026.
Competitors had to demonstrate the attributes of being highly trained, disciplined and physically fit, embodying the standard of the Drill Sergeant Creed and setting the example for future Soldiers.
The drill sergeants were tested on their ability to mentor, coach and lead while executing dynamic training scenarios, warrior tasks, battle drills, land navigation, marksmanship, physical readiness training and combat lifesaver skills.
