Make the most out of your visit to The Great Texas Airshow

502nd Air Base Wing Public Affairs

The safety and security of everyone at The Great Texas Airshow is a priority for airshow officials at Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph, Texas. Here are a few tips to make your visit to the airshow easier and more enjoyable.

When you park your car in General Parking and take the bus to the show, remember to:

  •  Take a picture of your parking zone
  •  General parking zones: A1, A2, B1, B2
  •  Ensure the bus back to your car has the same letter, color and number associated with your parking zone

Please follow these guidelines to make your visit enjoyable for you and other guests:

  •  Smoking and vaping are prohibited within airshow grounds
  •  There are three water stations on the South Ramp
  •  Throw away your trash in the proper trash and recycle containers
  •  Keep a look out for golf carts in the airshow area

This free event is open to the public and features the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, Air Force F-35A Lightning II, U.S. Air Force Academy Wings of Blue Parachute Team, and many more. Airshow guests are encouraged to interact with available aircrews and military personnel to ask questions and hear their stories.

The airshow gates open at 9 a.m. and close at 6 p.m. Aerial acts began at 11 a.m. A performance schedule for specific aerial acts is unavailable due to ongoing changes in aircraft postures and weather conditions.
