Retired Military Town Hall informs retired community, families

502nd Air Base Wing Public Affairs

A Retired Military Town Hall was held Aug. 26 at the Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston Military & Family Readiness Center. Topics included what services are available to the retired community and their families from JBSA installations, as well as healthcare updates from Brooke Army Medical Center and the Department of Veteran Affairs.

The town hall was open to retired military members of all branches, their families, and surviving spouses. A question-and-answer session also took place at the end of the presentations by guest speakers.

Numerous organizations had representatives and/or informational booths available at the town hall, including MWR, Defense Commissary Agency, Army & Air Force Exchange Service, Brooke Army Medical Center, ID Card office, Military & Family Readiness Center, JBSA Legal Office, TRICARE, Texas Veterans Commission, Department of Veteran Affairs, and many more.
