433rd Civil Engineer Squadron welcomes new commander

Maj. Bernard Wesley accepted command of the 433rd Civil Engineer Squadron during an assumption of command ceremony at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland April 1.

Col. Jeanne Bisesi, 433rd Mission Support Group commander, presented the 433rd CES guidon to Wesley and presided over the ceremony.

"It truly is an honor to have Maj. Bernard Wesley take command of CES,” Bisesi said. "He has experience in civil engineering, using forward thinking to keep the enterprise sharp.”

The assumption of command ceremony marks a formal passing of responsibility, authority and accountability of command. During his acceptance speech, Wesley expressed his appreciation for the support he received from his squadron team.

"I want to express my sincere gratitude for your support as we strive to move as one unit," Wesley said.

The 433rd Civil Engineer Squadron's mission is to provide direct combat support of the Air Force operational forces by deploying postured Prime Beef teams worldwide to accomplish mission tasking which includes force bed down, construction management, operations and maintenance, base recovery after attack, readiness/disaster preparedness, and fire protection. Supports essential explosive ordnance disposal warfighting requirements at in-route and stateside bases, ranges and aerial ports.
