PYEONGTAEK, Republic of Korea –
In order to align with Republic of Korea entry requirement changes, U.S. Forces Korea has implemented the following changes for SOFA-affiliated arrivals beginning July 25:
- Regardless of vaccination status, all arrivals shall be subject to a Day 1 PCR test at a military treatment facility (MTF). Movement will be restricted until results are received. Personnel assigned to areas not serviced by a military treatment facility may have their PCR test conducted by an alternate civilian facility (airport, civilian hospital, etc.). MTF PCR contacts are listed below.
- Movement off-installation is prohibited unless traveling between domicile and duty or in the event of a medical emergency or threat to safety.
- Day 6/7 self-administered rapid antigen tests are recommended, but not required.
- Non-traveling cohabitants shall not be required to restrict movement upon traveler’s return but should monitor their health for COVID-19-related symptoms.
- Component commands may implement transportation procedures for their personnel.
- Non-SOFA-affiliated international arrivals or short-term visitors shall follow all ROK entry requirements.
Please check with your supervisor or sponsor’s chain of command for more information.
