AETC, AFPC command chiefs host DSD-focused Reddit ‘AMA’ April 26

By Dan Hawkins HQ Air Education and Training Command Public Affairs

Chief Master Sgts. Erik Thompson and Eryn McElroy will host a Reddit "Ask Me Anything" event to answer questions from Airmen about the Developmental Special Duty application process live beginning at 12:30 p.m. central time April 26.

Thompson, who is Air Education and Training Command’s senior enlisted leader, and McElroy, the Air Force Personnel Center’s command chief, will take questions for two hours.

Additionally, beginning at 2 p.m. while finishing up on Reddit, both leaders will be live on the AETC Twitter page (@AETCcommand) to take part in a “Spaces” audio conversation on DSD.

“To maintain our competitive edge over our adversaries, we must ensure top-quality Airmen are selected to train and educate the next generation of Air and Space Professionals,” Thompson said. “Filling force generator and other DSD positions with high-performing men and women is critical to the department’s readiness as they underpin force development and their contribution in laying the foundation for tomorrow’s Airmen and Guardians are priceless. If you have questions about DSDs, please ask us. We want to hear from you.”
