WHASC updates COVID-19 vaccine line hours, eligibility for children

By Airman Joshua Rosario 59th Medical Wing Public Affairs

The Wilford Hall Ambulatory Surgical Center at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland has received the first delivery of Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine for the 5-11-year-old age group.

The vaccine will be given on a walk-in basis in the WHASC atrium from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday and from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursdays.

Children who are younger than 7 (or any who may need additional assistance) can get vaccinated in the WHASC Immunizations Clinic located on the 3rd floor, D wing. Influenza vaccinations are also available in the same space.

If vaccination is received off-base, a copy of the completed vaccine record with the child's date of birth and DODID# (child or parent's) can be sent to the org box for transcription into the electronic vaccination record at usaf.jbsa.59-mdw.mbx.59-mdsp-immunization-clinic@mail.mil.
