By Lauren Padden U.S. Army North Public Affairs

Maj. Gen. David P. Glaser, U.S. Army North deputy commanding general-operations, presented the Soldier’s Medal to Sgt. James Miller, U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Command, at Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston Sept. 24. The Soldier’s Medal recognizes acts of heroism during a non-combat situation.
Miller was recognized with the Soldier’s Medal for selflessly pulling a woman from a burning vehicle in May 2017. Glaser was the U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Command commander when the award started processing and was honored to present the medal.
