Trees for Troops a hit with spouses

Volunteers from various squadrons on Lackland Air Force Base, Texas, unload a special delivery from FedEx on Dec. 6 - live Christmas trees. An additional 145 trees will be delivered Dec. 12. Lost items find new home

Lining up shoes discarded at the base fitness centers, Ken Hack helps unpack three large bags of discarded clothing and four used basketballs at The House of Neighborly Service on Nov. 19. This is the second time this year the fitness center staff donated items collected in the seven fitness centers' lost and found. The Warhawk Fitness Center staff has also collected four large boxes of food in conjunction with the ongoing food drive for the shelter. According to Mr. Hack, the Warhawk Fitness Center director and base fitness director, customers who donate five or more food products before Dec. 31 will receive a free sports bottle.
