435 FTS breaks records, learns leadership and gives back at San Antonio Food Bank

Members of 435th Flying Training Squadron class 16-DBR from Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph take a break after packing 49,875 pounds of food on 95 pallets for distribution to the local community in the form of 39,900 meals to 3,325 local families while at the San Antonio Food Bank Dec. 12, 2015. JBSA-Randolph Christmas tree lighting ceremony highlights holiday season

Along with Santa Claus, the highlight of the Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph tree lighting ceremony was the beautiful 36-foot tree located in Randolph’s Washington Circle.  The tree lighting event was held at 6 p.m. Dec. 3 with music provided by the Randolph High School Band and the Randolph Elementary School Choir.  Photos with Santa were taken afterwards in the Taj, Bldg. 100.

Maj. Gen. K.K. Chinn, commanding general of U.S. Army South, signs the Conference of the American Armies accords Nov. 19 in Bogota, Colombia. The CAA was founded in 1960 and is a military organization of 20 member armies from the American continents. Each of the 18 senior army commanders present took turns to sign the accords, signifying their acceptance of agreed upon actions during the next two-year cycle that the U.S. will host for the first time in 24 years.
