Enlisted nursing commissioning programs accepting applications

The Air Force has two commissioning programs for enlisted Airmen who have, or are close to having their nursing degrees. The Nurse Enlisted Commissioning Programs helps you finish your degree while the Direct Enlisted Commissioning Program is open to enlisted Airmen with a nursing degree and license. Airman reflects on cancer battle, gives back with ‘passion project’

Tech. Sgt. Nathan Combs, 902nd Security Forces Squadron NCO in charge of resource protection, won his fight with cancer after being diagnosed with stage II non-seminoma testicular cancer in 2005. As a result of his experience, Combs has become a regular blood donor and leads blood drives at Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph about every 90 days.
