JBSA Weather Advisory for Dec. 17-19

502d Air Base Wing Public Affairs

A strong cold front is expected to push across the JBSA area late Saturday (Dec. 17) evening.

There is a strong chance of rain and isolated thunderstorms as the cold front moves across the area.

Expect breezy to windy conditions from the north of 20 to 25 knot gusts as high as 35 knots.

A very cold air-mass from the north will drop temperatures into the mid-30's on the morning of Dec. 18 (Sunday).  A hard freeze warning is highly probable for Monday morning (Dec. 19) with temperatures forecasted to be in the low to mid 20's; the high for Monday is expected to be in the low 40's.

The wind chill factor is expected to be in the single digits or teens for much of Bexar County over several days.

Updates will be posted to the JBSA Facebook and Twitter pages, as well as the JBSA Straight Talk Line at 210-466-4630.
