Two materials 12th FTW shops air blast to remove paint from T-1, T-6, T-38 and F-16 aircraft are plastic and corn starch, which have been deemed environmentally safe by the Air Force. Randolph generates about 20,000 pounds of plastic and 28,500 pounds of corn starch annually that is recycled.
