JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-FORT SAM HOUSTON, Texas - Richard Rangel, medical laboratory technician, prepares Thefety Tibbs, who was among the first donors of convalescent plasma, for his first convalescent plasma donation in June 2020 at the Akeroyd Blood Donor Center at Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston. The Armed Services Blood Program is accepting convalescent plasma donations at the Akeroyd center for use by Brooke Army Medical Center as a potential treatment for COVID-19.
