A composite flight of aircraft assigned to Randolph Air Force Base, Texas, flies over Sept. 14, 2010. The lead aircraft, a T-43 Gator, will be officially retired from the Air Force fleet in a ceremony Sept. 17. The T-43 is used in Combat Systems Officer (CSO) training (formerly known as navigator training) under the 562nd and 563rd Flying Training Squadrons here. The CSO mission will continue under the 12th Flying Training Wing, headquartered here at Randolph, with the 479th Flying Training Group in Pensacola Fla.
